A Suite Alaskan Inn is nestled in a quiet neighborhood and within easy walking distance of many downtown points of interest. Conveniently within a seven (7) short block radius is the local area bus Transit Center, McCafferty’s -A Coffee House, Coop Market Grocery and Deli, The Donut Shoppe & Expresso Cafe, Big Daddy’s BarB-Q, and Kanpai Sushi Restaurant. For novelty, you may want to see the Arctic Traveler’s Gift Shop or shop at Prospector Outfitters. Also within the same vicinity, is the Noel Wien Public Library or if you want to pick up an inexpensive book to read, check out Forget-Me-Not Books and support the local Literacy Council. With the grandkids, we like to walk to the playgrounds of Myrtle Thomas Park or Barnette School (and if we want more excitement, we drive to Pioneer Park, which is a great place to explore).
